A policeman is currently in a ‘critical condition’ in an alleged terrorist attack near a bus stand in Anantanag in Jammu & Kashmir. The policeman was first believed to have been fatally injured, but later reports came out that he had been admitted to a hospital.

In response to news that two militants were hiding in Anantanag, security forces had launched a search on Saturday and cordoning off a particular place when militants opened fire.

Two civilians reportedly died in the crossfire, and Lashkar-e-Taiba militants Bashir Lashkari and Ajad Ahmed Malik were reportedly killed. The J&K police had announced a Rs. 10 lakh bounty on Bashir Lashkari.
