As per the collection report at the box office pan South India, Mohanlal`s Pulimurugan and Janatha Garage fall in the first five positions in the chart. This is for the first time a Malayalam Super Star and a Malayalam film is entering this list. Pulimurugan has earned 129 crores as gross collection.

Rajanikanth`s Kabali collected 350 crore, Vijay`s Theri collected 175 crore, Junior NTR`s and Mohanlal`s Janatha Garage collected 135 crore, Mohanlal`s Pulimurugan 129 crore, Allu Arjun`s Sarrainodu 126 crore etc are the top 5 in the list.

It should be noticed that Mohanlal is positioned above Allu Arjun in the list through two films Janatha Garage and Pulimurugan. Telugu version of Pulimurugan has already been released and is running full houses. Meanwhile Tamil version is getting ready for release.
