The rushes of ‘Thai Kaviyam’ that features lyricist Pa. Vijay as hero were shown to Kalaignar M Karunanidhi, the author of the story, based on which the movie is being made. Though the CM was impressed by the way the movie is shaping up, he felt that something was lacking in the film.

He then suggested that it would be better to rope in an established actor in a role parallel or supportive to that of Vijay’s role. He also suggested that Parthibhan would be a right choice.

The unit immediately contacted Parthibhan, who is acting in a negative role in Selva Raghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan. The actor is yet to respond.

Will Parthibhan accept to play second fiddle for a new hero?
