Pratap Pothan earlier stated that he was not satisfied with the quality of the script and overall it did not meet his expectations. Anjali gave a cold response to his brash. She quipped that her response will only dignify his remarks. Also, it will only result in making it a discussion topic which she would like to restrain it herself.

Pratap Pothan earlier said that Anjali Menon had botched the script. He was not impressed with the script and intent not to proceed any further. The story and climax were not worked out exactly as he desired which is unacceptable as he believes cinema is a director`s art and he has the final say in it. So he decided to shelve the project.

This upcoming directorial project of Pratap Pothen triggered high expectations for many reasons. It was his directorial comeback after two decades after the blockbuster "Oru Yatramozhi" starring Mohanalal and Sivaji Ganesan in the lead. Another factor is Dulquer Salman was in the lead and above all Anjali Menon was scripting it, the lady who made box office hits like Ustad Hotel and Bangalore Days.

Pratap went huffy on the script because Anjali did not heed to his suggestions. He had made it obvious during discussions that happened in Mumbai that he doesn`t desire to see natural calamities in the story, but Anjali added Tsunami as part of the climax scene. He believes that Malayalam films are of small budget and it is difficult to execute these scenes within the budget.

The unexpectedsudden announcement of shelving the project tentatively titled "Love in Anjenjo" is a shock to film lovers and fans of Dulquer.
