Popular Tamil producer, Amma Creations, T. Shiva in a recent event spoke that Tamil cinema is in complete doldrums after the advent of GST, skyrocketing production costs and the unreasonable rules of the Censor Board.

Shiva said that not even God can now save South Indian He requtested Superstar Rajinikanth to break his silence and voice the concerns of the industry to the Central government as the powers that be would listen to him. Otherwise all the efforts that the industry office bearers take to the governments fall on deaf years.
