For Delhites, it was a moment of pride to see Amitabh Bachchan being felicitated by Deli University on Saturday, 4th November.

Big B had graduated in the early sixties from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University and has now been awarded with an honorary doctorate in literature for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. Others who were presented with the honorary degrees in this convocation ceremony were Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, cartoonist R K Laxman and scientist C N R Rao.

The superstar was at his witty best when he quipped, "There is a palpable nostalgia today about the hours spent at the coffee house and the bus stop outside women's college Miranda House!"

He was accompanied by his entire family comprising of Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shweta and Rahul Nanda along with close friend and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh.
