Kuruvi is the Tamil film in which Vijay and Trisha are seen together. The film has been directed by Dharani, the successful director of films like Gilli and Dhool. The same film will soon be dubbed in Telugu.

The film has fared average at the box office in Tamil Nadu. 'Kuruvi', which will be titled 'Dopidi' in Telugu, is about a poor man amassing the wealth of a rich man and using it for the good of his people.

The film has music by Vidhya Sagar and is presented by J Madhusudhana Reddy. Suman has portrayed the role of a mafia don in the film.
