Amritha TV gets the satellite rights to Mohanlal films

The satellite rights of many a Mohanlal movie is with the Asianet channel. All that is set to change. In an interesting development, Amritha channel has purchased exclusive television rights of all Mohanlal films to be released in future.

It is rumored that Mohanlal had serious difference of opinion with the higher ups of Asianet. The actor`s close affinity to Matha Amrithanadamayi is well known. It is heard that she herself put across the proposition to him on behalf of Amritha channel while visiting him at the Amritha Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment.
