Mohanlal and Anoop Menon team up for 'Kanal'

It has been reported that Mohanlal will play the lead in the movie 'Kanal' directed by M. Padmakumar. Prithviraj was touted to share screen with Mohanlal in the movie. However, with the actor backing out, actor and scenarist Anoop Menon will now fill the slot.

Anoop Menon has previously associated with Mohanlal, sharing screen with him in movies like 'Rock N Roll', 'Pakal Nakshatrangal', 'Grandmaster' etc. This Padmakumar flick has been penned by Suresh Babu. The movie is scheduled to begin by May 18th. As per this schedue, it is expected that Mohanlal will begin the movie right after he finishes 'Loham'.
