Jayaram has got an appreciable fan following in Tamil industry also, with few of his films emerging victorious in the bygone years. Now the actor will get an important break in the language with an crucial role in the new Murugadoss film. Titled 'Thuppaki', this high voltage action movie will have Jayaram with Vijay and Kajal Agarwal who plays the lead in the movie. Set in a 70 crore budget,'Thuppaki' will have Santhosh Sivan as the cinematographer.

Jayaram who has impressed Tamil audience playing the negative roles in the recent hits like 'Saroja and Dhaam Dhoom'' is currently in the sets of Malayalam movie 'Thiruvanbadi Thampan'.
