Siddharth is all tongue-tied. In excitement, that is.

The young hero of Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana is so happy at having to share frames with the great Aamir Khan.

After the stupendous success of NVNV, Siddharth is playing the parallel hero to Aamir Khan in the bilingual film Rang De Basanti.

It is film that just landed in his lap, as it were.

Just hear it in his own words: "I got a call from Rakesh Mehra while I was shooting for NVNV. I initially told him I wasn't keen on doing Hindi films. But Mehra nevertheless sent me the script and asked me to read it before deciding. After I went through the script I changed my mind and thought it was a great opportunity to prove my talent outside of Telugu films".

Since then, there has been no regret. Siddharth is all excited with the experience of working with a perfectionist like Aamir. Obviously he says working with Aamir Khan was a great learning curve.

Siddharth says his role in Rang De Basanti is a youthful one and the story deals with the way youth think nowadays.

After the success of NVNV, Siddharth's confidence has sky-rocketed and he goes onto suggest that "after watching Rang De Basanti I am sure people will say only Siddharth could have done justice to this character. I am sure this film is going to be the most talked about in 2005.

But what about Telugu films? "I love to do Telugu films and there are two big projects on hand. I will announce the details soon," he promises.

He had better.
