Not long ago, she was labeled as the lady Jackie Chan of India.
But recently we have seen her flip-flops only on the political arena. It is clear that actress Vijayashanthi is now more a politician than an actress.
But she insists that if the roles are good enough and match with her convictions, then she would continue to act.
This month, her long-delayed Nayudamma is set for release. Vijayashanthi plays a dual role in the film, which also has Prabhudeva and Rekha as the lead pair.
The film is also simultaneously being released in Tamil and Kannada.
The film was delayed due to several reasons --- the heroine herself was busy in politics.
Vijayashanthi hopes this film will help her to plug the Telangana issue that she is spearheading now.
