Chiranjeevi and social obligation go hand in hand.

Chiranjeevi takes his status as the top man of the industry with all seriousness and humility. He knows that it is the society that has made him the star that he is.

So it was in the scheme of things that he spoke passionately about social commitments and the need to do things for others.

Chiranjeevi, who is such a powerful prime mover for blood donation drive, last night, took up the issue of AIDS awareness and need to be compassionate to the victims of the dreaded disease.

It was a message whose import went down well with the public present and the larger audience elsewhere.

In fact, his chief message at the Stalin audio release function was creating awareness on AIDS.

Chiranjeevi spoke movingly about the plight of the HIV-infected kids and the need to provide emotional support to them. He gave various instances of societal indifference to their plight and said this was the reason why joined forces with Richard Gere for The Heroes project.

Chiranjeevi was happy that his army of fans had responded positively to his call and was doing yeoman social service in blood donation and other vital aspects of health sector.
