Santosh Sivan, who worked as cameraman with popular director Maniratnam had earned a good name at national level. Now he turned a director and made a film in Malayalam.

That film is now being dubbed into Telugu by Lakshmi Ganapathi Films in the name of 'Sivapuram'. The movie is all set for release on September 7.

Mr B Subrahmanyam of Lakshmi Ganapati Films says, 'This film will be different from the routine. Santosh Sivan made the film with a different screenplay and was shot in beautiful locales in Kerala. Five songs recorded under the music direction of MG Radhakrishnan would be stand as a highlight for this film. When it comes to the story…. A sorcerer wanted to be a monarch in the world by grabbing a Naga Manikyam, with which he could grab many more super powers. Was he able to succeed in his attempt is the crux of the film. The film is worth watching together with family and it got a clean U certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification, whose members complimented the unit from making a good film. Especially the dialogues by Sriramakrishna and the lyrics by Vanamali would enthrall the audiences. Prithvi, Kavya, Manoj K Jain, Kalabhavan Mani, Cochin Haneefa, Revati and others gave brilliant performance in the film. We are sure that the film would catch the eyes of one and all.'
