2006 remained a golden year in the career of Prince Maheshbabu. He rewrote the history of 75-year-old Telugu cinema with his blockbuster 'Pokiri'.

The film gave him a huge stardom to the Prince. However, his next film 'Sainikudu' remained only as the best technical film in his career.

In 2006, Maheshbabu got a promotion as father also. Moreover, he got the Nandi award for 2005 as Best Actor for his film Athadu. With all this happy backdrop, Maheshbabu entered into 2007 and is playing a hero in the direction of Surender Reddy of 'Athanokkade'-fame.

He had also signed the dotted line for a film to be produced by KL Narayana and directed by debutant Jasti Hemambaradhara Rao (Bulli) as 'Mirchi'.

In addition to these two, he is also likely to play hero in 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna' in the combination of Trivikram Srinivas and MS Raju. Indiaglitz wishes Maheshbabu achieve success and hit the box office again in 2007 like the earlier year 2006. The shooting of 'Atithi' is likely to begin on January 21 in Mumbai. Happy New Year to Prince Maheshbabu.
