Megastar Chiranjeevi is all set to campaign in Tamil Nadu on April 8th and April 9th in support of DMK-Congress alliance. The election fever has reached its peaks in Tamilnadu with barely a week left for the elections. Actors who are supporting both DMK alliance and AIADMK alliance have been busy touring the state in support of their political affiliation. Chiranjeevi will campaign in Tamilnadu on the 8th and proceede to Puddhucherry on the 9th for election campaign there.

Actress Khushboo is campaigning aggressively for DMK while Sarathkumar is supporting AIADMK.

Chiranjeevi who recently announced the merger of his Praja Rajyam Party in Congress party was apparently asked by AICC President Sonia Gandhi to campaign in Tamilnadu for the DMK-Congress alliance in the areas which has strong Telugu presence.

Also, AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad and Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K V Thangkabalu spoke to Chiranjeevi separately over phone and requested him to campaign for the party. All these things have made the ‘Megastar’ to come to Tamil Nadu in support of the Congress.

Today, i.e on April 7th, Chiranjeevi was spotted at Bangarapet of Kolar district in Karnataka campaigning in the byelections for Congress party. Thousands of fans thronged to see Chiranjeevi leading to stampede and lathicharge.
