Jeeva to come up as boxer

Popular producer KVV Satyanarayana, who had earlier produced 'Sundarakanda' with Venkatesh and Meena in the lead under the direction of K Raghavendra Rao, is getting ready to present a film with 'Rangam' hero Jeeva and Taapsee in the lead roles. R Kannan, a protege of creative director Maniratnam is making his debut as director through this film which is being produced by KV Venugopal.

The shooting of the film is almost complete and it was shot in famous locales like Gateway of India, Hotel Taj and Bandra in Mumbai, besides the beautiful locales in Goa. Some of the songs were also shot in Switzerland for the film. Presently the film is getting its final touches.

Presenter KVV Satyanarayana says, 'Jeeva got a critical acclaim by playing the role of a photo journalist in 'Rangam'. Now he is coming up as a 'boxer'. It is the story of a boxer, who wanted to reach the peak in his profession and not just get satisfied like winning some tournaments or games. How he reached the peak and what sort of problems he faced in his struggle is the subject of the film. Thaman is scoring music for this bilingual film which is being made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu languages. Thaman scored melodious tunes to satisfy all classes of audiences.'

Nanda, Santanam and others are in the cast. Story, screenplay and direction are by R Kannan.
