Seems that Srinu Vytla is slowly turning out to be a lucky mascot for Bollywoodians who are desperate for commercial entertainers. Close on the heels of the successful adaptation of Ready, comes the news that Dhee will be remade in Hindi. Sanjay Dutt has acquired the remake rights of this romantic comedy. (Meanwhile, backroom dealings are said to be on for finalizing the selling of Dookudu's remake rights).

An all-out comedy flick, Dhee was a runaway hit in Telugu when it was released in 2007. In a sense, it was a trendsetter, because many scripts drew inspiration from the film. It became the norm to see the heroes making fools of the villains. Interspersed with sentiment, the harmless lies enacted by the hero for winning his love became a genre with a potential to generate moolah.

If Sanjay Dutt's Dhee turns out to be a revelation, then one can be sure that we will see more and more films like Bindaas and Kandireega in Hindi.

Meanwhile, keep guessing about who will reprise the roles of Vishnu and Genelia.
