ANR was re-iterating it again at a Sri Rama Rajyam event. He blew the trumpet for the Nandamuris – both NTR and Balakrishna – and said that they are the best when it comes to essaying mythological characters.

Sharing an anecdote from his life, ANR said that his wife (Annapurna) advised that he should never act in a mythological film opposite NT Rama Rao, after watching Sri Krishnarjuna Yuddham.

It is known that it was ANR who, having declined the offer to play Sri Rama in Lava-Kusha, recommended NTR's name for the role to Anjali Devi and Adinarayana Rao. But, ANR would want to call it not a 'recommendation' but a truth-saying.

Finally, he said that only Balakrishna could have acted in the Bapu film, insinuating that no other contemporary would be able to pull off the Lord's role.
