The producer of Nuvvekadunte Nenakkadunta doesn't get it right. Disappointed that he could not rent theatres to release his film, he not only lambasted Swetha Menon-starrer Rati Nirvedam, which could find sufficient theatres, but also rued the fact that a straight Telugu film (his film) failed to make it on Dec. 16. The romantic film lost to an adult film, Palli Kesavarao, one of the producers of the film opined.

"Theatres are aplenty to exhibit a sex film released by a woman (Shoba Rani of SVR Media), but not a straight Telugu film, starring Udai Kiran and Swetha Basu. What kind of justice is this?" an angry Kesavarao shot back.

Least does he realize that Rati Nirvedam is not just any other film that has no purpose other than titillating the audience but it has a message. Moreover, by wittingly or unwittingly saying an adult movie "released by a woman," is he being chauvinistic? One only hopes he withdraws the statements made in a fit of a pique.

The producer also betrays his naivety by so speaking in the way he did. The audience do not differentiate between a straight film and a dubbed film. Above all, they are justified to prefer a Swetha Menon film over a Udai Kiran film, whose films have harassed audience for years now.
