Shoba Rani of SVR Media is back with yet another expensive film. Despite stiff competition for the Telugu dubbed rights of the Thuppakki, she eventually owned it by offering a fancy sum.
"I am happy to be releasing the Telugu version of Thuppakki, directed by someone like AR Murugadoss," she said.
Starring Vijay, Kajal Agarwal, Vidyut Jamwal, Jayaram and Sathyan, the film has music by Harris Jayaraj. Cinematography is by Santosh Sivan. Editing is by A Sreekar Prasad.
Set to be released in November, it has been made a huge cost of Rs. 70 cr., according to some reports.
It is to be seen if the Ghajini director makes waves after the not-so-impressive run of 7th Sense, which was released in last October. Vijay in Snehithudu, released in January, did not sway the audience either.
