His film may be just out and the verdict on it may be still hanging in the air.

But there is no doubt in the mind of Teja, the maverick director who has just let his Avunanna Kadhanna into the market.

Just two or three days into its release, Teja and his cast were busy meeting the press on what can loosely termed as a 'success meet'.

But this can be a misnomer as every film crew is now resorting to this trick.

Teja, as his won't, struck a confident posture saying that the film was on its way to becoming a hit.

The trade industry reports seem to bear him out. Yet, these are early days.

But it seems Teja, after the mauling his recent films had received, was not the most confident man in town.

He says he didn't expect the film to get such a good opening, especially considering the fact that it was pitted against the might of Bunny. "It has really surprised us," Teja says.

But the hero Uday Kiran feels it is all a fitting reward for the kind of hard work and effort they put in for the film.

Producer Atluri Poorna Chandra Rao also is in a happy mood and says the reports from various territorries has been very encouraging.

"We hope it would turn out to be a big hit," he says

Come to think of it, Teja and Uday deserve one.
