Director Ram Gopal Varma has revealed that his upcoming movie Killing Veerappan which has been postponed numerous times due to court cases, will finally hit the screens on January 1. The legal cases and censor formalities of the film have been resolved and the film will be releasing in Telugu and Kannada on the occasion of New Year`s Eve.

It may be recalled that Muthulakshmi, the widow of Veerappan lodged a complaint with Bangalore sessions court demanding a ban on the film. However, RGV showed the film to her and sorted the things out.

"Now that all the legal cases and censor formalities are completely sorted "Killing Veerappan" is for sure releasing on January 1st," tweets RGV. Sandeep Bharadwaj, Shivaraj Kumar, Parul Yadav, etc are playing lead roles in this action-thriller which is based on the slain Sandalwood smuggler.
