Rakhi is a symbol of bonding.

And the film of the same name will hopefully ensure high bonding between its hero Junior NTR and its director Krishna Vamsi.

This is the first time that the high-profile actor and director are coming together.

The film was formally launched on Friday. The regular shoot is expected to begin only on 25 June.

Junior NTR's Ashok is almost ready and will release in July.

Rakhi is being made under the Durga Arts banner.

Ileana is penciled as the heroine, and sister sentiment is center point of the movie.

Both Junior NTR and Krishna Vamsi need a big hit to catapult themselves back to the top.
