Actress Vidya Balan is one of the top heroines in Bollywood and has been known for her performances in movies like Kahaani, Tumhari Sulu, and won a national award for her acting in Dirty Picture, which was based on the life of actress Silk Smitha.

Vidya Balan has now started shooting for her next movie Shakuntala Devi, the movie based on the life of mathematician Shakuntala Devi who was called as Human Computer. This movie is directed by Anu Kapoor and is produced by Sony Pictures and Abundantia entertainment.

Sharing the first look poster of herself in a red saree on first position in a podium and a computer and calculator in second and third positions, Vidya Balan tweeted "Excitement is multiplying each day! Time to dig into the 'root' of the mathematical genius, #ShakuntalaDevi. #FilmingBegins ". Vidya had recently debuted in Tamil with Thala Ajith's Ner Konda Paarvai.
