Actress Huma Qureshi to perform an item number in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next.

Huma Qureshi is certainly a very expressive actress but audience haven't seen her in very grand roles yet. She has now agreed to perform an item number in ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. This might be in hopes of securing a bigger role in Bhansali's future projects.

It'll be interesting to see if this move proves to be beneficial for Huma as it was for Priyanka Chopra who performed a dance number in 'Ram Leela' and got casted in 'Bajirao Mastani' later. A source close to the film said, “Sanjay wanted a dancer who could emote to the evocative lyrics. Huma isn’t doing a Mujra in the film. It is an earthier, raunchy item number."
