After a flood, it's all dry

Starting December last, it has been one hectic season for Tollywood with releases after releases. Starting with Mass and ending with Evadi Gola Vadidre last week, Tollywood was on a seemingly assembly line of films. Over 10 films were released in this period alone --- a high rate even going by the prolific standards of Tollywood.

And only Mass and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana have been confirmed successes of the season. The rest, particularly Balu, Naa Alludu and Dhana 51, have been major disasters.

This week-end there are no new releases in Telugu. "It is dry after floods", as one producer put it. But by February normal service will resume.
