Ajith, who preferred to stay away from car racing, is back on track. The actor will wroom on the racing track at Sriperumbudur on a Formula 1600 car, one of the vehicles with fastest engines, sources say.

The actor had made a name for himself in the racing circut and had even won a podium at Formula 3 Scholarship Races. Eventually a series of injuries forced him to opt out of racing circut and concentrate on film career.

The news of Ajith back on track should send cheers to his fans who still feel 'Thala' has all the potential to make it big in the racing field. However, sources close to the actor say he is doing just a test drive and will not opt for a full-fledged racing career. The event is organised by MRF today.
