Actress Sameera Reddy is popular among Tamil audience for playing one of the female leads in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Varanam aayiram starring Suriya and Ajith's Asal directed by Saran. The actress is now a mother of two children, and makes lovely updates from her life on social media regularly.

In a recent Instagram video, Sameera Reddy had answered a question about aging. She had answered "I was born in 1978 and I am 41 years old. You can ask a guy his age, but not a woman? When a man ages, we are always saying he is hot and handsome. But a woman gets wrinkles, we say she's become old. Why is there a double standard? When I was as an actress, I used to get freaked out and I was happy that Google got my age wrong!".

Her video was captioned "Are we not supposed to age? Answering questions Im getting asked. The pressure to always look younger is very evident for women. Remarks and opinions have set standards that seem to be engrained in all of us. Your 30’s are awesome because you begin to figure out who you really are and the 40’s are like a yummy wine that you savour ?? this constant need to use filters. To keep up . Age is just a number. Weight is just a number. Be fearless..".
