Akkineni Akhil's debut film Akhil has cleared the preliminary test earlier today. The film directed by VV Vinayak has passed the censor scrutiny and obtained a U/A certificate from the Regional Censor Board. The film has a run time of 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Actress Sayesha Saigal is playing the love interest of Akhil in this socio-fantasy scheduled for release on November 11 on the eve of Diwali. The unit members are confident over the film`s outcome and are hoping that Akhil is going to be a perfect launch pad for the Akkineni scion.

Actor Nithiin has turned producer with this film which has music by Anoop Rubens and SS Thaman. The film has been shot extensively in South Africa, India and Europe. Brahmanandam, Rajendra Prasad and Mahesh Manjrekar are playing significant roles.The film is rumoured to have cameos of Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya in a song sequence.
