Amala as sportspersons mother in biopic

It's known that 'PSV Garuda Vega' director Praveen Sattaru is making a biopic on the former badminton champ Pullela Gopichand. The film stars Sudheer Babu in the titular role.

The news is that Amala Akkineni is playing the role of the legendary sports icon's mother in the movie. The choosy artiste was seen in a web series earlier this year. Reportedly, her role will be short but effective.

Sudheer Babu had been preparing for the role mentally since 2016. Sattaru is expected to be making it into a special film. It's up for a grand 2020 release.

In another news, Sudheer is also doing 'V', which stars Natural Star Nani in a negative role.
