Having rendered a blockbuster hit in Paruthi Veeran, director Ameer is cooling his heels in Kodaikanal.

The ace-director of Tamil cinema, who has won rave reviews for Paruthi Veeran, is reportedly busy penning the story and screenplay for his next venture which is expected to star Jayam Ravi in the lead role.

Ameer had resisted offers that came his way urging him to play the lead roles. Rumors were abuzz that Ameer would play the title role in a movie to be directed by Samuthirkani. However Ameer has denied all these reports.

Sources close to Ameer say,” The director would return from Kodaikanal soon to announce his next project. It would kick off after Jayam Ravi completed Dhaam Dhoom and the Tamil remake of Telugu hit Bommarillu”.
