Looks like Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is having the best of best time this year. From her personal life (tying knot to her longtime beau Anand Ahuja) to professional life – fabulous role in ‘Padman’ to her latest release ‘Veere Di Wedding’ to the biopic ‘Sanju’ which is all set to hit the screens tomorrow, she is now ready to amaze us with her next project 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga'.

Sharing the first look, Sonam had introduced us to her character in the film. Dressed in a yellow salwar suit and making us impossible to not lose our heart over her smile, she is playing the role of a quiet Punjabi girl named Sweety Chaudhary who seems to be the embodiment of ‘Syaapa’.

Now the much-awaited teaser of the film has also dropped which takes us back to Anil Kapoor’s iconic love song ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ from the movie ‘1942: A Love Story’.  Eventually the song takes the audience to  2018 where Anil’s daughter Sonam Kapoor starts off saying that without सियापा there is no true love at all! It is set in the backdrop of Punjab revolving around a true love story. The movie is in the limelight for many reasons. After many years of wait, finally the talented father-daughter duo- Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja are sharing the screen for the first time. Juhi Chawla who is also featured in this film will be reuniting with Anil after giving many blockbuster hits. Apart from them, Rajkummar Rao will be seen playing the love interest of Sonam.

Directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar and produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox Star Studios, ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ is slated to hit the screens on  October 12th 2018.
