Anupam Kher reacts to Shahrukh Khans Im the last of stars statement

In last few years, several factors have changed the entertainment industry in significant ways and one of the biggest change that one can observe is that the era of superstardom is almost gone. These days audience appreciate good content rather than popularity of a face and that's why in Anupam Kher's talk show, Shahrukh Khan had stated that he is the last of stars.

While promoting his recent film 'Uunchai', Anupam was asked about this particular quote of SRK which eventually went viral on social media. According to a recent report in The Indian Express, Anupam replied, "It was very motivating, that is why they have gone viral. Actors said such amazing things (on the show), it was the biggest learning for me, I got inspired. It was a very charming statement Shah Rukh made, but this year the superstar is Anupam Kher."

Kher has starred in two big box office hits this year. His film 'The Kashmir Files' earned 340 crores while 'Karthikeya 2' minted 130 crore on box office. The actor then went on to talk about how he had to break certain barriers in order to stay relevant. He said, "Mujhe angrezi bolni nahi aati, main angrezi films mein kaam karta hun (I don’t know how to speak fluently in English, but I still work in those movies). I think in Hindi, but to remain relevant, you have to break barriers.”
