We should say that cinematographers have an extraordinary taste about anything they look through the lens. In fact they must be more creative than the directors. A cameraman is the one who make a mute scene speak. And it’s proven fact that cinematographers are successful by glossing the script and knowing the way to extract the work from the crew. Santhosh Sivan, KV Anand, Ravi Varman, Thangar Bachan, Rajiv Menon and PC Sreeram are the few flourished cinematographers who have turned out to be successful directors as well.

Now we have a new entrant to join this line-up. Ace Cinematographer Rathnavelu recently met Arya and narrated a script for his directorial debut. To give an example, Rathnavelu is the cameraman of Goutham Menon’s ‘Varanam Aayiram’. Our sources had it that, Arya was impressed by the script and is fixed to work with him.

On the other hand Rathnavelu is busy with the filming of Superstar’s ‘Endhiran’.

What to say? Welcome Sir Ji. We are with open arms to greet talents!
