Bang Bang has lived up to its title. The film was expected to open well and then show consistent collections over the extended weekend, courtesy its entertainment quotient as well as the fact that a biggie like this warrants constant footfalls if accepted by the masses. This is what happened as the film made good moolah at the box office.

Right from Thursday to Sunday, the collections stayed over the 20 crore mark on a daily basis as a result of which around 95 crore have already come in. Considering the fact that Haider was occupying a fair number of screens as well and finding its audience, this Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif film has managed a good hold amongst audience. For a film which wasn't particularly critic friendly, the film has demonstrated once again the wide gap between what audience likes versus what critics expect a film to do. As things stand today, the film would cross the 100 crore mark by today afternoon. Moreover, since it is a holiday as well in many parts of the country, a bountiful is on the cards.

On the other hand Haider has maintained its hold in its niche release. The collections have stayed stable on all the four days and though on absolute scale the moolah generated at the box office is 27 crore so far, the Vishal Bhardwaj film benefits from the fact that it has been placed and projected as a semi-art-semi-commercial affair. No wonder, it has also found favour amongst the critics too. For Shahid Kapoor too, the film has done well from the credibility perspective though it has to be seen if it manages to cross the collections of his last release R... Rajkumar, which though was an out and out massy affair.
