Although Shahrukh Khan is occupied with his son Aryan Khan's ongoing drugs case, his work commitments are still being met. He might soon collaborate with actress Bhumi Pednekar on his next. The duo will not share the screen together since SRK will most probably act as the producer. News portal Peepingmoon recently reported that Shahrukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment will soon start filming for their project titled 'Bhakshak'.

Bhumi Pednekar is set to play an investigative journalist in the film, who attmepts to uncover a huge scam in Bihar. It will be directed by Pulkit, who is also the writer of the film. Pulkit previously directed Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Bose: Dead or Alive' and he's been working on this project for last two years. The filming might start around January 2022.

The plot is reportedly based on Muzaffarnagar shelter home case where dozens of girls underwent physical and sexual assault. The film was originally planned with Arjun Kapoor in mind and it was supposed to go on floors by March 2020. However, it got delayed due to the pandemic and Arjun Kapoor was replaced by Bhumi Pednekar due to the date issues.
