Everything, they say, has a season.

And this seems to be the season of small budgets and lilting music in Tollywood.

Many big budget and so-called mass films have failed small budgets like Anand and Mr & Mrs Shailaja Krishnamurthy have clicked.

Says a leading distributor in Hyderabad, 'agreed, the two movies are primarily running in urban centres. But it has a message for the big heroes and their mind set".

In a season of big flops (Gudumba Shankar, Apthudu, Shivshankar, Gharshana --- all boasting of big names and all sinking without a trace), how have Anand and Mr & Mrs…escaped the general trend?

Says Ravi Kishore, a film analyst with a dotcom, "first and foremost, the films have a plausible storyline and have not been made to suit any particular image or individual. Secondly, both the films carry wonderful music. Soft and soothing, they are the ones you will like to hear with your family".

The point is that those producers, directors and stars who think the audience love only big budgeted loud films have to rethink.

The fans cannot be fooled all the times.
