Bigg Boss contestant joins Congress

TV actor and Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde has announced that she has joined the Congress party ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, in which she will be contesting.

Shilpa Shinde made her announcement through a video that has been going viral across social media. In the video, she revealed her reasons for joining the party and added that politics will not be so hard on her as her entire life has been a struggle. On being asked about her future plans in regards to the same, she said “Right now, I am joining the party. Later, I will get a clear picture from (where) I am going to fight.” On being asked about her decision to join Congress, she said, “I don’t know, but my father was also in Congress. He was a good friend of Sharad Pawar and Sushil Kumar Shinde.”

Shilpa Shinde, who was known for her role on the popular TV show ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hai,’ rose to fame when she participated in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 11’ hosted by Salman Khan and emerged as the winner. The TV actress said that she will be taking a break from her acting career and focus on the political journey.
