Bigg Boss-4: Is Nagarjuna making a big fuss about English?

By now, viewers of Bigg Boss Telugu season 4 know well that some inmates speaking whole sentences in English has become a pet peeve of the host. Akkineni Nagarjuna seems to be especially miffed with English-language usage by some more than others.

In Saturday's episode, the host warned Abhijeet and Dedthadi Harika of consequences if they continue to utter English-language sentences. "Viewers are unable to understand what you are saying. Also, Gangavva doesn't understand the language," Nag complained. The Abhijeet-Harika duo apologized profusely to the host, Bigg Boss as well as the viewers.

If language is that important, why not encourage every inmate to speak as few English words as possible? Why only harp on sentences and not words? Why can't the host himself walk the talk? How many viewers understand the English-language words that these contestants use too often in episode after episode? Does Gangavva understand words like 'continuous', 'actual', 'definitely'?

Ironically, while lecturing Abhijeet and Harika, Nagarjuna said, "Andukane this punishment. You are standing here." Since there is a Telugu word in it, Gangavva must have understood it completely, we guess!

"Character ni decide", "Maatalu very hurtful", "character assassination", "smart game", "obviously daddy laga", "workout avatledu", "You are not innocent" are just some of the English words/semi-English phrases that the inmates and the host used in the next few minutes of the episode. Phew!
