'Ponniyin Selvan 1' is undeniably one of the most anticipated films in Indian cinema. The audience already rates it among the biggest films in Kollywood history. Produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, director Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'PS1' is all set to be released on September 30.

The franchise has music composed by AR Rahman and cinematography by Ravi Varman. On August 25, Ravi Varman took to his social media page to share BTS photos from Ponniyin Selvan shooting spot. The making pictures feature Karthi as Vandhiyathevan, Chiyaan Vikram as Aadhitha Karikalan, Aishwarya Rai as Nandhini and Jayaram as Thirumalaiappan.

These images are currently rocking the internet. On the other hand, the Tamil and Telugu audio launch functions of 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' is slated to happen on September 6 & September 8 respectively. The film is a historical fiction made in two parts and is an official adaptation of author Kalki's epic novel on the throne of the Chola Dynasty.
