After character artists like Rao Ramesh, it is the turn of a comedian to play Ram Charan's father in his forthcoming film. Directed by Surender Reddy, this remake of Thani Oruvan will go on the floors from Feb 21.

It is learnt that Posani Krishna Murali is being mooted to reprise the role played by Thambi Ramaiah in the original.

Posani seems to have been chosen because he looks authentic in the role of a poliltical activist, which is his character in the film.
