COVID 19 Update - Cases reduce in Chennai as they shoot up in rest of Tamil Nadu

The official COVID 19 updates have shown a noticeable decrease in new cases in Chennai (1713) but a sharp rise in the rest of Tamil Nadu (4150). The state now has a total of 1,11,151 cases out of which 68,254 are housed in the capital city. The death toll has risen to 1510 after 60 persons lost their lives to the deadly virus in the past twenty-four hours.
On the upside 34,102 persons were tested today and 2186 patients have been discharged taking up the tally of recoveries to 62,778. Madurai has recorded 308 cases today followed by 200+ cases in Thiruvallur and Chengalpet districts.
