Exciting news for cricket fans as a film on 1983 world cup announced!

It is raining biopics in Bollywood as the title for one other film based on cricketing legend Kapil Dev's life was recently revealed. The biopic will portray the life of Kapil Dev surrounding the events of the 1983 cricket world cup.

The film which is titled '83' will star Bollywood hotshot Ranveer Singh essaying the character of Kapil Dev who played a pivotal role in India's victory against West Indies in the 1983 cricket world cup.

The film will be directed by Kabir Khan, who captivated audiences with his earlier films like 'Tubelight', 'Bajrangi Bhaijan' and 'Sultan'.
