Director CS Amudhan has directed three movies - the spoof flicks Thamizh Padam and Thamizh Padam 2.0 both starring Shiva in lead role, and both the movies turning out to be commercially successful. His second movie Rendavathu Padam starring Vemal is yet to release.

Being an active social media user, the director is seen expressing his views on various issues, including sports on Twitter and Facebook, and following the recently held IPL 2020 Bidding, and the selection of players by the Chennai Super Kings Franchise, the director has expressed his views on the tactics followed by CSK team owners.

His post reads "The Mysterious case of CSK’s picks at the IPL auction. Actually there is no mystery at all. The reason for the seemingly unexplainable picks are clear as day to any true CSK fan. It is only people who are prejudiced against CSK & the Dhoni-haters who make it seem like these are illogical, senseless picks. So let me state the obvious. Any player picked for CSK will go on to realise their full potential & become champion cricketers like Jadeja, Chahar, Rayudu etc. As has been established by numerous incidents on the field, press-conferences & interviews with the players themselves, this is obviously due to Dhoni’s inputs. Quite rightly, Dhoni & the CSK team do not want this incredible advantage to be passed on to young players from other countries as they will use it against India. It’s as simple as that. This is why we always pick young Indians or old foreign players who have no way of playing for their country again as witnessed by Fleming, Watson, Bravo etc. Even the recently picked Josh Hazlewood, has not played a T20 for Australia in 2 years & has no realistic expectations of returning to the squad.Dhoni & Fleming are like Krishna & Arjuna.Keep calm & trust in them."
