Karthik Naren marked his entry into the Tamil film industry with his crime thriller 'Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru'(D16). The film which had actor Rahman playing the lead role captivated the audiences with its ingenious handling of the plot and screenplay.

Now, it's official that the youngster's next directorial venture 'Naragasooran' has kick-started its shooting today. 'Naragasooran' has Arvind Swami playing the lead role and the actor will join the shoot in a few weeks time.

The movie which is a 'dark and emotionally intense suspense drama' according to the director, also has an ensemble cast of Sundeep Kishan, Indrajith and Shriya Saran in important roles. 'Naragasooran' will be a trilingual film releasing in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu.
