Ram Gopal Varma's eagerly awaited film, "Vyooham," has been granted the green light for its release, thanks to the Telangana High Court's recent decision to lift the stay on its screening. The journey to this pivotal moment faced a hurdle when Nara Lokesh, the national general secretary of the Telugu Desam Party, lodged a petition in the High Court, alleging that the film contained content detrimental to the image of Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu.

Initially, the High Court instructed the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to conduct a re-evaluation of the film and issue a fresh certificate. Following this directive, the Censor Board diligently reviewed "Vyooham" and awarded it a U certificate, thereby paving the way for its release.

In response to the court's decision, Ram Gopal Varma joyously shared the film's release date in his trademark creative flair, tweeting, "We VYOOHAM are coming on 23rd Feb to DRINK #TDP and EAT ⁦⁦@JanaSenaParty."

Previously, Varma had expressed his frustration over the delay in the film's release, and now with the court verdict shared his delight, "I am very very happy to inform that Vyooham film’s release issues are cleared and will announce its release date soon.”

The initial halt in the film's release came after the Telangana High Court suspended the clearance certificate issued by the CBFC, citing procedural discrepancies in the certification process. The court had set a February 9 deadline for the revision committee of the board to deliberate on the clearance certificate.

"Vyooham," featuring Ajmal Amir, Manasa Radhakrishnan, Dhanunjay Prabhune, Surabhi Prabhavati, Rekha Nirosha, Vasu Inturi, Kota Jayaram, and Elina Tuteja in pivotal roles, is a political thriller that has captivated attention for its controversial subject matter. With the High Court's favorable ruling, the film is poised to captivate audiences when it hits the screens on February 23, much to the delight of Ram Gopal Varma enthusiasts and cinema aficionados alike.
