For once Deepika Padukone will shed her make-up and go behind the camera to take a new role. Buzz is that the tall beauty will don the role of assistant director to Zoya Akhtar in her forthcoming venture.

It is said that Deepika was so impressed with Akhtar’s latest script that she decided to be assistant to Zoya. Interestingly, the film’s lead hero is none other than Deepika’s ‘Ram Leela’ co-star Ranveer Singh.

With Priyanka Chopra playing the female lead, the film is about a dysfunctional Punjabi family that goes on a luxury cruise together.
