Sections of regional and national media headlines on Tuesday evening claimed that Superstar Rajinikanth suffered injuries while shooting for a Man Vs Wild episode hosted by British adventurer Bear Grylls for Discovery Channel. He has been at Bandipur forests in Karnataka for the shoot.

Turns out that the news is totally false. "I have finished shooting for the 'Man vs Wild' episode. I have not received any wounds but some scratches due to little thorns. I am alright," ANI quoted the 'Darbar' actor as saying.

In another news, the Income Tax Department has withdrawn three tax case appeals against orders passed in favour of Rajini by an Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) years ago. A penalty of more than Rs 66 lakh was to be paid by Rajini.
