In recent past, Dil Raju has thrown his weight behind some promising projects by acquiring the theatrical rights. 'Vellipomakey', a new-age rom-com, is the latest film.

The news is that the film releases this on Sept 2.

Directed by debutante Yakub Ali, the Vishwak Sen, Supraja and Swetha in lead roles. Music is by Prashant Vihari, who was trained in the music school run by AR Rahman himself.

Dil Raju says, "I fell in love with this film's making values. It's a feel-good love story helped by brilliant performances."

Vishwak is a protege of Anupam Kher's film instittue. Yakub Ali has studied filmmaking at the prestigious Ramanaidu Film School.

Yakub Ali says, "We started this film 2.5 years ago. I have given my all in making this product. And it's a boost for the whole team that someone like Dil Raju garu not only liked the film but also is releasing it under his banner. I am very happy."
